The rain flooded the whole night

1200 $

This painting was created in 2024. The colors of this year are still bright but not dazzling. I have gradually found a balance point among the bright colors.

A relaxing daily exercise. When I was just about to finish it, I unknowingly spent another two hours drawing because I answered a call from a friend. After hanging up the phone, I hurriedly checked whether the drawing I had just made was too detailed.
The dandelions that I couldn't blow off two days ago, the buns that I kneaded... Familiar things spoke for themselves through my hands, and I just impatiently asked myself to stop brushing quickly.

Creative themes and style |   My works revolve around the creative concept of  "The land of humanity, People on the land".The people in the painting are people in nature, and the lines, shapes, and colors are close to nature. The nature in the painting is nature in the eyes of humans, existing in interaction with humans.I don’t pursue a series of works with a fixed and continuous style. I hope that the style of the pictures will synchronize with the changes in my life and always remain oscillating. The performance of the work must be in sync with the development of one's own life in order to be Sincere and powerful.Ideas are later.

Artwork Interpretation

I. Atmosphere and Theme
This painting unfolds as a visual journey of delicacy and fantasy. The rain here does not appear simply as falling water but as flowing colors, dissolving into a hazy background that suggests both movement and stillness. Through this treatment, the idea of “the whole night” is given a temporal depth, as if the rain itself becomes the fabric of time. The girl’s curled posture, wrapped in soft fabrics, conveys the intimacy of dreaming, a moment of tender retreat amid the rain.

II. Surreal Juxtaposition
Two striking elements interrupt the logic of reality: the circular object above the girl’s head and the dandelion poised to scatter its seeds. Their coexistence resists realism but constructs a kind of surreal poetry. The rain may flood the night, yet the dandelion—symbol of fragility, flight, and rebirth—remains untouched, embodying the persistence of hope and lightness even within heaviness.

III. Color and Emotional Dialogue
The palette is composed of gentle whispers of color. The blue-violet background renders the moist tranquility of night rain, while the warm tones of the girl’s skin and fabrics create a counterpoint of comfort. The soft white of the dandelion contrasts yet harmonizes with the muted gray of the circular object, producing a dialogue of colors that transforms the rainy night from a solitary expanse into a container of diverse emotions: the weight of moisture, the softness of dreams, the chaos of flooding, and the liberation of seeds ready to ride the wind.

IV. Transformation of the Ordinary
By bringing together rain, night, sleep, and dandelion, the artist performs a romantic deconstruction of the ordinary. These familiar motifs, reassembled in a dreamlike order, become entrances to a spiritual wonderland. The girl’s closed eyes suggest not resignation, but a conscious return inward—a gathering of strength before stepping once again into life’s storm. Her vulnerability is recast as resilience, inviting viewers to perceive the rainy night not as oppression but as a nurturing embrace.

V. Philosophical Resonance
The “flooding” of the night thus emerges as a paradoxical gift: a momentary overwhelm that fertilizes the ground for new beginnings. Just as dandelion seeds wait for a gust of wind, hope rests quietly within the heart, prepared to take flight at the right moment. The painting reminds us that within life’s chaos, even when drenched by rain, there exists the romantic possibility of rebirth. Art transforms hardship into poetry, turning the wet night into a landscape of renewal and pursuit.
