My boat once lived at the bottom of the lake

1500 $

This painting was created in 2024. The colors of this year are still bright but not dazzling. I have gradually found a balance point among the bright colors.

The boats sank to the bottom of the lake one after another, but they did not become history. It once carried the young person over one wave after another.

Creative themes and style |   My works revolve around the creative concept of  "The land of humanity, People on the land".The people in the painting are people in nature, and the lines, shapes, and colors are close to nature. The nature in the painting is nature in the eyes of humans, existing in interaction with humans.I don’t pursue a series of works with a fixed and continuous style. I hope that the style of the pictures will synchronize with the changes in my life and always remain oscillating. The performance of the work must be in sync with the development of one's own life in order to be Sincere and powerful.Ideas are later.

Once My Boat Lived at the Lake Bottom weaves a profound and poetic visual narrative with surreal brushstrokes. In the painting, the dark background, like the lake bottom under night’s veil, creates a serene haziness through the wet - blending technique, serving as a container for memories. Several boat - shaped light forms float in the air, with yellow and white as the main tones. Through color gradient and contour outlining, they present a transparent and dreamy texture, like fragments of the past salvaged from the lake bottom, echoing the retrospection of “once lived”.

The human figure and branches below are presented with simple lines and dark blocks, forming a virtual - real contrast with the boat - shaped light forms, intensifying the tension between reality and memory, sinking and floating. With Symbolism as the core, the creator uses the boat as a carrier of memories and the lake bottom as a symbol of the abyss of forgotten time. The collision of colors and the dislocation of forms tell the story of salvaging and gazing at the vanished past — the boat once rested at the lake bottom, a witness to the precipitation of years; now emerging as light, it is the cry of memory breaking free from silence.

Each stack of paint and each blend of light and shadow decodes the emotional connection between “the lake bottom” and “the boat”: the drifting and resting of the boat reflect the journey of life; the serenity of the lake bottom and the emerging light interpret the hiding and revealing of memories. This painting leads viewers to feel the charm of art’s image translation in a surreal context. It makes people understand how, when “the boat” transcends physical form and becomes a memory symbol, painting uses a fantastical composition to connect fragments of time and space, completing a poetic journey about time, memory, and self - retrospection. In the subtleness of colors and the surreal collision of forms, it touches the tenderness and melancholy sealed by the lake - bottom time deep in the soul.
